Speaking of foreign stereotyped writing, many people will think of Mao Zedong’s words at the Sixth Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee of the Party in 1938: "Foreign stereotyped writing must be abolished, empty and abstract U-turns must be sung less, dogmatism must be rested, and it should be replaced by fresh and lively China style and China style that are loved by China people."
Today’s "foreign stereotyped writing", although very different from the contents and forms of expression of that year, is equally harmful. Therefore, we must take a clear-cut stand against all foreign stereotyped writing.

At present, many places not only regard whether a paper can be published in a foreign journal as a sign to measure whether it is excellent or not, but also consider that publishing a paper in a foreign journal can be equivalent to publishing several papers in a domestic core journal, and even take the number of papers published in a foreign journal and the grade of the journal as an important basis for evaluating professional titles, applying for funding and various awards.
In many domestic universities and research institutions, due to the prevalence of "foreign stereotyped writing", some western theories almost dominate the world. Law, politics, sociology and other disciplines all face similar problems.

The "worshipping foreign things and obsessing foreign things" in the evaluation criteria and evaluation system is equivalent to handing over the right to speak, which not only enables western developed countries to easily take many outstanding scientific research achievements in China with their influential journals, but also allows western values to influence social science and even ideological theoretical research in China to a great extent, which will further endanger China’s cultural security, ideological security, and even threaten China’s political security and national security.

In the eyes of many leaders and scholars in universities and research institutions, if you don’t quote several articles by western scholars as references, you won’t have an international perspective. Some universities, research institutions and academic journals even require that published papers and research results must have foreign language citations and notes. Looking at many academic journals, some papers are almost foreign languages written in Chinese characters and spoken in Chinese.

On the one hand, this phenomenon occurs because most social science scholars in China who went abroad after the reform and opening up came from studying western theories, and many of them simply copied western theories or painted cats like tigers; On the other hand, some domestic experts and scholars, out of fear of saying the wrong thing, making mistakes or belittling practice, often say some correct nonsense, boring big words and boring cliché s to so-called "interpret" and "exaggerate" the Party’s innovation theory, or explain some basic Marxist principles that could have been interpreted in a popular way with concepts or vocabulary that many people can’t understand, resulting in the reluctance or incomprehension of the broad masses of cadres and people in party member, and consciously or unconsciously ceded many ideological positions.

Under the influence of "stereotyped foreign writing" thinking for many years, many universities and research institutions not only require candidates with high professional titles and academic leaders in important disciplines to have overseas study experience. When recruiting talents, many central state organs and local party and government organs also give priority to those with foreign university diplomas or overseas experience, and even prefer to introduce some graduates from foreign second-and third-rate universities rather than give local outstanding talents the same opportunities.

To completely eliminate the harm of stereotyped writing by foreigners, we must seriously consider how to thoroughly reform as soon as possible, resolutely abolish the absurd employment policy of giving priority to those with foreign university diplomas or overseas experience, attach importance to training and selecting cadres from the grassroots level, and even explore the selection of cadres from front-line workers and farmers. When selecting and employing people, we should not look at their origins and academic qualifications, but focus on their political stance and professional ability. For those with foreign university diplomas or overseas experience, we should examine their political stance more strictly, so as to truly treat local and overseas talents equally.

More and more people feel that China’s cities have lost their characteristics. No matter whether they are megacities such as Beijing or Shanghai, or many large and medium-sized cities, they are more and more similar. This is because most of their important buildings are designed by foreign architects, and almost all of them cost a lot of money. Although the works of these foreign architects in China have attracted many questions, and some of them have even been spoofed and ridiculed, many places are still keen to invite foreign architects to design their city’s landmark buildings. Admittedly, there are excellent works designed by foreign architects, but an important reason for the above situation is probably the "stereotyped foreign writing" thinking of some leading cadres when making decisions.

Influenced by stereotyped writing in foreign countries, some leading cadres are unclear about right and wrong when facing many issues of right and wrong. When making decisions, they often take "whether the West agrees or not, whether the West is satisfied or not" as the standard, instead of first considering whether the people agree or not, whether they are satisfied or not, which not only causes great ideological confusion, but also brings great losses to the party and the country.
When making decisions, we must pay attention to the actual national conditions and resolutely oppose blindly westernization. The practice of some leading cadres who are divorced from the national conditions and superstitious about the West when making decisions should be stopped in time, and the wrong policies and measures that have been introduced should be stopped as soon as possible and resolutely corrected. For foreign things, we should adhere to the principle of making foreign things serve China, removing the rough and the fine, discarding the false and retaining the true, and making them work for our own use after scientific sublation. This is a scientific principle that must be adhered to while opposing "stereotyped foreign writing", and it is also a correct principle that should be followed when making any decision.
