Why does the national law stipulate?

On the highway, medium-sized and above trucks should drive in the right lane?

The blind area on the right side of the cart is much larger than that on the left side, which is determined by the viewing angle of the rearview mirror. When driving in the middle lane, the right lane is generally the emergency lane or the same cart lane. This kind of car is in the same rhythm, so the safety is higher. The emergency lane is not used under normal circumstances, and vehicles of all sizes will give way under special circumstances, so the danger is also very low.

Article 44 of the Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law stipulates that if there are more than two motor vehicle lanes in the same direction on the road, the left side is the fast lane and the right side is the slow lane. Motor vehicles driving in the fast lane should drive at the speed specified in the fast lane. If the speed specified in the fast lane is not reached, they should drive in the slow lane. Motorcycles should drive in the rightmost lane. If there are traffic signs indicating the driving speed, drive at the indicated driving speed. When a motor vehicle in the slow lane overtakes the preceding vehicle, it can borrow the fast lane to drive.

If there are more than two motor vehicle lanes in the same direction on the road, the motor vehicles changing lanes shall not affect the normal driving of the motor vehicles driving in the relevant lanes.

Paragraph 1 of Article 30 of Guangxi Road Traffic Safety Regulations stipulates that if there are more than two motor vehicle lanes in the same direction, the left side is the fast lane and the right side is the slow lane. Tractors, low-speed trucks, three-wheeled vehicles, wheeled special-purpose mechanical vehicles and other low-speed motor vehicles and city buses should drive in the slow lane.

Is it really so important for the truck to stay on the right?

This is the result of the later small cars with faster speed.
