Ministry of Education： Where conditions permit, practical education of the rule of law should be included in the scope of after-school services in primary and secondary schools.

　　On May 19th, the reporter learned from the Ministry of Education that from May to December this year, the Ministry of Education will hold the 8th National Student’s "Learning the Constitution and Talking about the Constitution" series of activities, requiring all local schools to establish a long-term mechanism for the normalization of constitutional publicity and education. Where conditions permit, practical education of the rule of law should be included in the after-school service scope of primary and secondary schools, so as to promote students to receive practical education of the rule of law for no less than 2 hours each year.

　　The Ministry of Education requires all local schools to combine daily education with centralized education, online education with offline education, and on-campus education with off-campus education according to the actual situation, and constantly improve the constitutional publicity and education mechanism. It is necessary to promote the deep integration of constitutional education and information technology, and organically integrate it with daily teaching, extracurricular activities, after-school services, summer homework, voluntary service and social practice.

　　During the activity, the National Youth Law Popularization Network of the Ministry of Education will set up the "Constitutional Guardian" column of the Eighth National Student’s "Learning Constitution and Speaking Constitution" activity, and students who have completed the learning tasks and met the requirements will be awarded the "Constitutional Guardian" logo. The participation rate of students from all provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps should be not less than 35%.

　　The series of activities also includes holding the local competition of "Learning and Speaking about the Constitution" and the national finals, the "network style display" of learning and speaking about the Constitution, the collection of micro-video of the rule of law animation, and the collection of excellent cases of the rule of law practice education. In addition, in conjunction with the 10th National Constitution Day and the Constitution Learning Week of the Education System, the Ministry of Education will organize the "Constitution Morning Reading" in the education system in early December.
